The UAE supports Hadhramout with three strategic projects

 On Wednesday, in the UAE capital, Abu Dhabi, contracts were signed for the implementation of three strategic projects in Hadhramout governorate in the electricity, oil and gas sectors, through specialized companies in the United Arab Emirates, in the presence of the Minister of Legal Affairs and Human Rights, Ahmed Arman, and the Governor of Hadramout, Mabkhout, Mubarak bin Madi.

 The projects, which were signed by the Ministers of Electricity and Oil with specialized Emirati companies, include the construction of a gas-fired power station with a generating capacity of (150) megabytes, the construction of a crude oil refinery with a capacity of (25) thousand barrels per day, tanks and a free zone, and the establishment of a domestic gas unit in the Messila area.

After the signing, the Ministers of Oil and Electricity praised the role of the United Arab Emirates and its support for the various service and development sectors, as well as its relief efforts in the various liberated Yemeni governorates, pointing out that the projects whose implementation contract was signed today will contribute significantly to improving the electricity service in the governorate, and covering the needs of Hadhramout and neighboring governorates from  domestic gas.

While the Governor of Hadramout stressed the importance of these strategic projects in developing the province and improving its services, noting the continuous Emirati support for the development of various service and development sectors in the province.

The signing was attended by the Ambassador of Yemen to the UAE, Fahd Saeed Al-Minhali, and the UAE Ambassador to Yemen, Mohammed Hamad Al-Zaabi.
