Aden, NewsYemen:

On Sunday, the Presidential Leadership Council held a meeting chaired by Dr. Rashad Muhammad Al-Alimi, Chairman of the Council, and in the presence of all its members, Sultan Al-Arada, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, and via visual communication, Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami, Othman Majali, and Faraj Al-Bohsani.

At the beginning of the meeting, the Yemeni Presidential Council saluted the Legitimacy Support Coalition led by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates, and its armed forces everywhere, on the occasion of the anniversary of the launch of Decisive Storm, which represented a milestone in the path of joint Arab Gulf solidarity, and its firm response to deter the challenges facing the nation.

The meeting addressed developments in the local situation, and the war escalation of the terrorist Houthi militia, especially in the districts of Hareeb and Markha in the governorates of Marib and Shabwa, and its systematic attacks on civilian objects and public roads, including its failed attack that targeted the convoy of the governor of Taiz, and a number of state and local authority leaders in  Governorate.

The Council affirmed that it will take all necessary measures to protect public interests, deter terrorist organizations, move forward on the path of comprehensive reforms, and support the legitimate aspirations of citizens in areas under the force of militias supported by the Iranian regime.

He considered that the war escalation of the militias in the governorates of Marib and Shabwa, and the failed terrorist attacks in the governorate of Taiz, reflect the miserable situation that this terrorist organization has reached in its hostile approach to peace endeavors, and its evasion from the fair entitlements of millions of citizens who demand freedom, equal citizenship, and opportunities for a decent life in the areas under their control.

In light of these military and security developments, as well as the results of the recent consultations on the issue of detainees, abductees, and the disappeared, the Presidential Leadership Council heard reports from members of the Council, Abdul Rahman Al-Mahrami, Dr. Abdullah Al-Alimi, and Tariq Saleh.

He also listened to a briefing from the Prime Minister, Dr. Maeen Abdulmalik, on the economic and living situation, and the interventions required to maintain financial, monetary, and commodity stability, and the supply of basic services.

The Council directed the government to complete the implementation of its previous relevant decisions and orders, including improving the efficiency of ports, airports, and land outlets, providing all facilities for the movement of individuals, goods, and private sector activities, and redoubling efforts to secure basic services, especially electricity, and adequate Ramadan catering needs.

The Presidential Leadership Council called on the international community to realize the seriousness of this terrorist escalation, with the continued smuggling of more Iranian weapons to the militias, and its devastating repercussions on international peace and security.

The Council welcomed the results of the recent meetings led by the United Nations, in partnership with the International Committee of the Red Cross, to implement the detainees’ exchange agreement, stressing in this context the need to ensure that the militias fulfill their obligations to complete releases on time, and to enable mediators and the government team to reach all detainees in their prisons unconditionally.
