Houthi militias set "vacancy elections" in April Hadi pays salaries for SCER in Sana'a

According to informed sources, the Houthi militias has set a date for holding a complementary parliamentary election for vacant seats in areas run by the militias in April.

The sources said that the Houthi militias intend to hold parliamentary elections before the month of Ramadan, at a time the militias obliged employees at the Supreme Commission for Elections and Referendum (SCER) under its control in Sana'a to implement their orders.

It added that the Houthi militias promised the Commission's staff to give them monthly incentives not exceeding Y.R 30,000 per an employee will be committed to work and carry out what are directed by them.

Sources said to Newsyemen that the Houthi militias kidnapped a staff member at the SCER, Mohammed al-Subari before two days ago.

The abduction comes on the background of an informal talk over the election's illegality the Houthi planned to run the vacant departments as the militias took the Power by force of arms.

It is worth to mention that members of the SCER in Sana'a receive all their monthly salaries and health insurance from the legitimate government in Aden, for a year and a half, and even after the Houthi militias appointed new official for the SCER.
