An employee at Tadhamon International Islamic Bank said to Newsyemen that the Bank suspended its activity at the Main Department on Sunday and closed all its branches in the Capital Sana'a.

The source spoke on condition of anonymity said that the bank was forced to close its main department and its six branches in the Capital Sana'a amid the Houthi militias detained some of its employees and jailed them at the National Security Department.

The Houthi militias have been forced on the commercial and Islamic banks to hand over a profit of up to 30 per cent, according to militias estimates. The armed militias detained banks' managers for their refusing to hand over profits, as the militias questioned the financial reports that are submitted by the banks into the Central Bank of Yemen.
