Army recover sites in al-Baida, IEDs kill soldiers

The Government forces, backed by the Arab Coalition warplanes, recovered sites in al-Baida province after clashes against the Houthi militias, a military source said on Sat

The source added on Sunday units of the army launched an attack on the armed militias' sites, causing the liberation of two hills, al-Shaheed and al-Amn, in Qaneyah front in the province.

The source pointed out that the Arab Coalition warplanes launched two raids targeted Houthis' gathering in the same front.

A number of Houthi militias were killed and others were injured due to the army's attack and the Coalition's airstrikes.

The Captain Qasim Saleh al-Babkari and two other soldiers were martyred in the military clashes against the armed militias.

The military source said that the Major Abdulhadi Saleh al-Aqili and a number of the 153rd Infantry Brigade were killed in a bomb planted by the Houthi militias in a road in al-Malajem military front in al-Baida.

The source added that this operation comes less than 24 hours after the death of two officers and three soldiers of the 26th Infantry Brigade in another improvised explosive device (IED) planted by the Houthi militias in Fadhah front.
