Hadramout .. Summer camp for girls with participation of 100 displaced from war zones

A second summer camp for young girls, al-Mahaba and al-Salam, "Afection and Peace " continue in Sayoun City in Hadramout province, implemented by Basma Foundation for Development of Children and Women.

The camp includes 600 young girls. It aims to develop their talents in seven professional programs such as hairdressing, Henna, sewing, handicrafts, media, learning English and cooking, creating a competitive environment among girls and internally displaced women and integrating them into the host society.

Nabil Abdullah, the director of Basma Foundation, said the camp aims to achieve the principle of coexistence and peace between girls and the integration of displaced women in the host society, in addition to their involvement in the labor market.

He pointed out that 100 displaced girls from areas of conflict were admitted to the camp, their ranging from 13 and 18 years.

Nabil Abdullah also pointed out that during the previous days, the camp experienced educational and field visits, wall drawings on streets, schools and human development courses.

Amal Saeed, a displaced woman from al-Hodeida province, said she was happy to involve her in the camp to enable her to develop her hobby, stressing that she will soon become a perfume producer supporting her displaced family from the oppression of the Houthi militias.
