Extensive meeting in al-Ma'afer holds 35th Brigade accountable for securing theater of its operations & protecting al-Ma'afer district

An extended Meeting of the Local Authority, the Security and Military leaders and the Political and Community Forces in Ma'afer district in Taiz province stressed the importance of strengthening the community partnership between the Local Authority and the Security and Military leaders represented by the 35th Brigade, the Special Security Forces and the Public Security, and the Political and Community Forces in protecting and maintaining civil peace and security in the district.
The meeting was held amid the security imbalances and the armed and unfortunate clashes that took place in al-Berain market and al-Kalaebah area which caused the killing the civilian Khalil al-Sane' and injuring others civilians in which light, medium and heavy weapons were used.
The meeting praised the steps and actions taken by the 35th Armored Brigade Command, which is responsible for controlling a number of individuals who carried out bloody events affiliated with the Brigade.
The meeting stressed that the Brigade is responsible for arresting the rest of the wanted individuals and bring them to justice. The meeting also hailed the reaction of the brigade's leadership regarding the Reparation for injury of the family of their son "the dead Khalil al-Sane'." The meeting demanded to list Khalil al-Sane' among the Brigade's martyrs.
The meeting stressed the need to take all security measures that would hunt the perpetrators who seek to disturb the tranquility and public security in the district and cooperate with the Local Authority to remove any military manifestations resulting in clashes between the army and the population and remove all new military points in accordance with the directives of Taiz governor.
The meeting issued a statement warning any delay of implementing outcomes of the meeting, especially as this directly affects the relief and humanitarian interventions by international organizations working in the district.
The meeting praised the efforts of the Community Peace Committee of al-Berain people and other adjacent villages for their responsible interaction with the events aimed at protecting the civil peace.
The meeting also relies on community leaders to press and defuse violence and follow up the concerned parties to bring the perpetrators to justice.
The meeting held legal and criminal responsibility for any leaders or individuals belonging to other brigades who proved to have participated, instigated or financed individuals or armed groups in this crime.
The meeting also underlined that the Community will not stand idle and will hunt criminals and corrupt people who seek to undermine the security and stability of the district.
The meeting stressed the importance of activating the legal process by the family of civilian victims, and demanding that the security department, the prosecution and the judiciary to take the necessary measures that serve justice and to not grant immunity to perpetrators.
The meeting called on the governor to take the urgent and immediate necessary measures to secure the civil peace in the district and provide the necessary support to the concerned authorities in the district.
The meeting warned any party or armed group, whatever it tries to play with fire, and to lure the society and its legal and security institutions to settle political and revenge calculations at the expense of the peace and security of the civil society in al-Ma'afer district.
The meeting called on the security and military leaders in the district to protect the resources of the district and its markets from daily robberies by armed groups and secure their supply to the local authority and disburse them for the service needs of the people of the district.
