Around 120 families live their life of poverty and homelessness. Mrs. Zakeyah delivered seven children; after her husband passed away in a blast planted by the Houthi militias, she had to bear the responsibility of providing daily meals for her children.

Mrs. Zakeyah goes early to the east of al-Khukha district, he goes on foot for about 2 km to bring firewood to sell them in the central neighborhoods of the city so as to get rid of hunger at least for one day.

A price of one package of firewood is about Y.R 1,000, and at the best price of Y.R 1,500 to buy for her children some flour and sugar, she strives to keep her children away from hunger at least for one day, and the next day she begins a new journey.

Mrs. Zakeyah, who looks 30 years old, takes down shorthand the tragedy of the 120 families, they lives on the edge of life in mud and straw huts.

The families were forced many times to leave their tiny houses by greedy people of the real estates. Those people do not have a power or a statesman to defend their rights, their properties and their dignity.

The local authorities did not provide them with protection, so they surrendered to the greedy people and left their places silently to other courtyards to start build their tiny houses with mud and straw huts.

Months later, the greedy people returned to expel them again, and the most they became far away from the source of firewood, the most difficult they brought firewood to sell them in markets.

Not only are they suffering from laborious conditions by bringing firewood from faraway places to sell it cheaply, but also the quality of the food they eat, but there are also other dangers, they are Houthi landmines.

The families bring firewood in places full of mines planted by the terrorist militias because they have not another way to earn livelihood, they are forced to risk to have firewood to get food for their children, killing some and injuring others.
