Al-Najm Financial Remittances Network announced on Tuesday that it has resumed operations in all branches and through all agents spread across the Republic of Yemen in providing financial and banking services to citizens after a 48-hour interruption.

The authorities of the militia Houthi issued a decision on behalf of the Central Bank of Sanaa, to suspend Al-Najm network and five other networks of the practice of banking and remittances.

The Yemeni Currency Exchange Association affirmed their commitment to all regulations and rules governing the exchange business, as well as the instructions discussed between the Central Bank and the facilities and exchange companies.

It is noteworthy that the star network of remittances was launched in 2012 as a financial service to transfer cash through a wide network of agents, and to establish a strong partnership with private and public institutions and civil society organizations.
