Sources confirmed the transfer of five persons accused of the assassination of Brigadier Adnan Al Hammadi, from the prison of the 35th Armored Brigade, in Al-Mawasit, south of Taiz, to the temporary capital of Aden, at the official request of the Attorney General of the Republic and Chairman of the Presidential Committee Ali Al-Awash.

Security sources in Aden told Newsyemen that the five accused had been placed in the central prison in Mansoura.

According to the sources, Jalal al-Hammadi (the brigadier's brother), Mustafa Abdel Qadir (head of the Islah party in Bani Hammad) and his brother Amin Abdel Qadir, Abdo Muqbel al-Hammadi (Suhair al-Ameed), and Salah Abdoh Modhesh (the back gate keeper of the dean's house) were transferred.

The decision to transfer the defendants came two days after the families of the victim represented by Zakaria and Akram, the sons of Commander Adnan Al Hammadi, the leadership of the 35th Armored Brigade, and the people of the governorate, refused the funeral and burial of the martyr’s body, before announcing the results of investigations with the accused of his assassination and uncovering the planner and financier of the operation.

According to Newsyemen's sources, the rest of the accused, who will be held in custody for the crime, will be arrested, at a later time, to the Mansoura prison in Aden.

The Presidential Committee had released a number of detainees, headed by pharmacist Abdul Hamid Muqbel, and Ghamdan Abdullah Hashem (husband of the daughter of the martyr, Brigadier Al Hammadi).
