Soldiers of the 3rd Battalion in The Fourth Brigade protested against the commander of the brigade loyal to al-Islah, demanding that their salaries, which had been suspended for six months, be paid.

On Saturday, the Provincial Directorate of Shamaitin witnessed a protest march for members of the battalion who threatened to cut off the Taiz Aden line in the soil area unless their salaries were paid.

The soldiers accused the protesters of leading the Taiz axis and leading the brigade by giving them false promises to pay their salaries, but they did not believe in their promises.

According to the soldiers, the command of the 4th Brigade accuses them of defecting and joining the National Resistance Forces of the Brigades of Guardians of the Republic led by Tariq Saleh.

The fourth brigade began suspending the salaries of battalion members six months ago, despite the payment of the salaries of the remaining members of the other battalions.

The battalion is based in the Rassen, Al-A'maand a sector and adjacent areas on the road linking Shammain and Al-Mekha.

The battalion members were part of the pro-reform 17th Brigade, which was located in Taiz and its western suburbs, and numbered the 17th Brigade before being relocated en masse to be part of the formation of the 4th Brigade, Mashah Jabali, which was then in the process of being established.
