Dr. Nasser al-Khabji, a member of the Presidency of the Southern Transitional Council and head of the Negotiations Unit, reiterated the council's commitment to implementing the Riyadh Agreement in chronological order.

Junaid Munir, deputy head of the U.S. Embassy's mission to Yemen, and Elisabeth Al-Khodri, the embassy's political and military chief, made the announcement in Riyadh.

The meeting between the two parties discussed a number of issues related to the efforts to implement the Riyadh Agreement, where Dr. Al-Khabji praised the ongoing efforts of the brothers in Saudi Arabia to move forward in implementing the agreement.

Al-Khabji expressed hope that these efforts will soon bear fruit, reaffirming the commitment of the Southern Transitional Council to implement the Riyadh agreement in accordance with its chronological order, according to the council's official website.

On Wednesday, the Southern Transitional Council suspended its participation in all committees for the implementation of the Riyadh agreement, protesting the military escalation of the Al-Islah militia against the people of Shabwa province.

According to a media source for "Newsmen", the president of the council, Maj. Gen. Idros Zubeidi, directed the suspension of the participation of all committees for the implementation of the Riyadh agreement, sponsored by Saudi Arabia between the "Southern Transitional" and the government of interim President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi.

The move was in response to the military offensive launched by the Brotherhood forces against the Tribes of Lakmush several days ago
