The former ambassador, Mustafa Numan, described the circular issued by the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - to form committees to sort the people of Yemen in their areas of control on the basis of a religious (doctrinal-dynastic) identity as an authoritarian and fascist measure that is worn out by the religion.

"This circular is exactly what the authorities of any authoritarian regime are doing, even if they are wrapped in debt," Ambassador Numan said, in a post on his Facebook account and attached a copy of the circular.

Numan addressed the revolutionaries, saying, "People’s faith is not the responsibility of anyone on the surface of the earth ... and certainly not yours!"

He went on, saying, "Endless futility in people's lives and insistence on their subjugation, coercion and arbitrariness, which Yemen has not witnessed in its history!"

The former ambassador, Mustafa Numan, concluded, "Only fascists do such an act!"
