The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, has changed the names of classrooms in public universities, and private universities in the governorates of Ibb, Sana'a, Amran, and Dhamar that are under its control.

And the Houthi militia changed the names of the classrooms, which were the names of personalities that influenced Yemeni history in several intellectual, literary, scientific and political fields, with the names of the dead leaders of its members.

While an informed source stated that the President of Dhamar University, the leading Houthi student, Al-Nahari, issued a decision to change the names of 33 classrooms in Arab League colleges with the names of Houthi leaders and personalities instead of the old names of those halls.

This step is one of a series of steps to modernize education in militia-controlled areas after it has completed many official sectors, from the army, security services, and civil government agencies, to schools, hospitals, and other facilities in its areas of control.
