According to local sources and eyewitnesses, two Houthi militias kidnapped two girls, from Al-Safia neighborhood in Sanaa, which is under its control.

Residents in the neighborhood told "NewsYemen" that the Houthi militia stormed the girls ’house in the Al-Safiya neighborhood, late at night, with the participation of female armed elements from the battalion of what is known as the" Zanabiyat ".

They added that the Houthi gunmen kidnapped the two girls, in addition to their father and brother after they objected to storming the house, and took them all to an unknown destination.

The residents stated that the Houthi militia threatened the mother with electric shock, to prevent her from screaming while storming the house and kidnapping her husband, her two daughters, and her son.

The Houthi militia attempted to justify the kidnapping of the two girls by fabricating malicious charges related to honor, which was rejected by residents of the neighborhood, where they affirmed the commitment of the two girls to behave ethically and morally.

According to the sources, the Houthi militia transferred the girls, after weeks of enforced disappearance, in a secret prison, to the central prison in Sana'a, and the mother was allowed to visit them once, while the fate of the father and son remains unknown until today.
