Informed sources confirmed that a leader in the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, was killed in the ongoing confrontations in the Serwah Front in Marib Governorate.

The sources said that the Preventive Security official in the Arhab District and responsible for torture in the militia prisons called Anwar Shammar was killed along with five of his companions by the army fire Sunday evening in Serwah.

The Serwah Front witnesses battles described as violent, amid the retreat of government forces from their positions and the control of the Houthi militia over them, in conjunction with the withdrawal of Islah militants from the camp of Al-Lanant in Al-Jawf and the militia's control of several sites today, Monday.
