Arizona authorities arrested three Yemenis for illegally crossing the US-Mexico border this month.

Yuma police said they encountered a group of men on the western side of St. Louis on May 13. They were arrested and medical and security checks were conducted.

US officials said that it was found that the Yemenis were not infected with the Coronavirus and were not on the terrorist watch lists.

However, the three Yemeni men are facing charges of violating immigration, according to US media reports, quoting the police.

The Trump administration launched further repression of immigration amid the Coruna epidemic. President Trump also announced in April his intention to sign an executive order to halt immigration during a health crisis.

However, the final executive order prevented only certain groups of migrants from entering the country, which led to the exclusion of farm workers and medical workers.
