The Southern Transitional Council announced, at dawn today, Wednesday, the abandonment of the declaration of self-administration, in order to allow the Arab alliance to complete the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement signed between the Council and the legitimate government.

This came in a statement announced by the spokesperson for the Southern Transitional Council, engineer Nizar Haitham, and posted on the council's website.

The Southern Transitional said in the statement: "In the context of the efforts made by the Arab coalition leadership to implement the Riyadh agreement, and to reach solutions that would address the political, military, humanitarian and development conditions.

In response to the interference of the leadership of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the leadership of the United Arab Emirates, and in the concern of the Southern Transitional Council to the success of the efforts of the leaderships of the two countries to implement the Riyadh Agreement, achieving security and stability, and uniting joint efforts to confront the Houthi militias and terrorist groups, as well as the development of the southern provinces, and that we have achieved the goals that the declaration of self-management over it to implement the Riyadh agreement formed a new government 50/50 between the north and south, and appointed a governor and security director for the capital Aden, and moved the military forces to the combat fronts to be replaced by the security forces. 

The transitional council announces the abandonment of the declaration of self-management, so that the Arab alliance is available implementation of the Riyadh Agreement. "

They added, "We affirm the continuation and deepening of our strategic partnership with the Arab coalition at all political, military, economic and security levels, through our common goals in combating Iranian interference in the region, fighting terrorist groups, combating extremist activities, as well as securing maritime shipping lines, the Gulf of Aden and the Strait of Bab al-Mandab, And to prevent smuggling and export chaos across components and people. "

In the statement, the Transitional Council saluted the steadfastness of the brave southern forces, which proved to be the stronghold of the south.

They said, "We salute them and cherish their steadfastness, their bravery and heroism. We salute them while they are now stationed on various fronts. We also salute the security sectors that are making great efforts in securing the capital Aden and the governorates of the south."

They also saluted the people of the great southern people along the southern governorates, and singled out their mass mass stands in Hadhramaut, Abyan, Lahj, Al-Mahrah, and Socotra, which support the goals of the Southern Transitional Council, stressing that the council will always remain alongside the people of the south bearing its noble national aspirations and goals that cannot be undone.
