Aden, newsyemen:

The Houthi militia, iran's arm in Yemen, has launched a massive kidnapping campaign against 30 civilians in an attempt to break up civil disobedience and popular protests that entered its second day as the militia banned the newly printed currency.

Al-Houthi militia launched a large-scale raid on homes and arrested and kidnapped some 30 civilians, most notably activists Anwar Obeidel and Ammar al-Da'i, on charges of inciting citizens to disobey, according to local sources who told Newsmen.

For the second day in a row, the border town of Dimat, which borders Maris, saw the closure of shops and popular markets, accompanied by widespread protests against the abuses of Houthi militias against merchants, cashiers and citizens and their confiscation of the new currency.

The sources said that at least four citizens were injured after the Houthi militia fired live bullets to break up a popular demonstration that denounced the confiscation of the national currency before resorting to imposing a suffocating siege on the population and preventing the movement of roaming to and from the city of Dimt.

The Houthi militias have issued instructions to prevent the circulation of the new currency, which has recently been printed by the legitimate government, and those who violate these orders and instructions will be abused and confiscated from funds deemed illegal and untreatable by Houthi militias.

The popular boiling continues to peak as citizens in The City of D'Am prepare to take to the streets in a wave of anger and demonstrations to confront the so-called ""bandits".

Residents of The Newsysmen news agency said they would not stand idly by if the Houthis used brutal repression, that they would not back down from their demands and their wasted rights, and would stand firm against those who take their power out of their mouths and make their children fight hunger and death.
