Aden, NewsYemen:

The governor of Aden, Ahmed Hamed Lamlas, invited teachers and educators to start their work in schools and start the new school year.

Lamlas said, I send a sincere invitation to my brothers and sisters, teachers and educators in the capital, Aden, and their esteemed union, with the start of the new academic year 2020-2021, to cooperate with the local authority in order to restore the educational process and preserve our children and students from the future generation and work as one team in order to win the legitimate demands of teachers and their rights fair.

He added, we acknowledge that the suspension of the educational process has negatively affected our children and students, and we also acknowledge that the teachers ’conditions remaining unaddressed have also negatively affected the teachers’ ability to give and continue to fulfill their lofty educational and enlightening mission.

Today, we are going through a new phase that requires the cooperation of everyone, especially teachers, and we cannot move forward towards restoring institutional work except when science and education are straightened, and from here I invite all teachers involved in all educational fields to return and start their work in their schools and start the new year in a spirit looking forward to a better tomorrow.

On the other hand, the local authority will set its sights on victory for the teacher's issues, and will be keen to extract his legitimate and just rights, and will work to follow up the implementation of the outputs of the Teachers and Educators Association meeting with the government side, if the formation of the new government is announced soon, in a manner that ensures that teachers receive their full and unimpaired rights.

He explained that he hopes that this call will receive a response from teachers and educators and their esteemed union in Aden, and that it will lead to an end to the strike in order to protect our children and students, as we also affirm our standing at the forefront of the ranks for the sake of fairness to teachers and victory for their just and legitimate causes.
