Mocha, NewsYemen, Exclusive:

On Wednesday, the deputy of the United Nations mission to the Hodeidah agreement, Daniela Crosslake, expressed her deep impact by what she witnessed of the crimes of the Houthi militia.

During a visit to the city of Hays, accompanied by the government team in the Redeployment Coordination Committee, to see the extent of the suffering of the population, Crosslake said that the suffering of the population is great, especially children.

She added, her presence in Hays today is to express concern regarding the ongoing fighting in Hays, and we must jointly address this matter within the agreed framework and the agreed mechanisms in order to achieve progress between the two parties.

She explained, we are all here in one trench to help you reach the desired peace, expressing her hopes that the situation will be better than it is during her next visits.

She emphasized that the role of the United Nations revolves around facilitating and helping the two parties to reach solutions, stressing the need to return to the agreed mechanisms to reach peace.

She indicated that the most important issue for the UN mission is the safety of civilians, which is the reason for our presence in Hays.

In response to a question related to the guarantees that oblige the Houthis not to target civilians in Hays, she said that the escalation that took place in October prompted us to engage in communication with the two parties in order for the calm to be achieved, and this thing was mentioned in the permits and statements issued in October, which led us to reach here today.

Crosslake toured the photo gallery of the victims of Houthi crimes, and a video was shown during the visit, showing the scale of the crimes and massacres committed by the Houthi militia against civilians in Hays.

The Director of the Human Rights Office, Fathia Al-Maamari, provided a detailed explanation of the conditions and suffering of the population and the violations committed by the militia linked to Iran.
