Shabwa, NewsYemen:

Heavy transport drivers condemned the imposition of exorbitant taxes by the Shabwa governorate authority on transients and considered forcing them to pay an amount of 50,000 riyals as stolen by official bonds from the Shabwa governor authority.

Truck drivers said that Shabwa is a transit line from which to go to other governorates, and it is not permissible to intercept a traveling road, and they considered this the work of bandits.

Truck drivers confirmed that they pay 15,000 riyals in Abyan, which is imposed on them in a different way, while the tax ceiling was raised by Shabwa Governor to fifty thousand riyals, as if the trucks that pass entered through smuggling.

They indicated in conversations on social media platforms that the levies imposed on them are heavy, and they are prevented from crossing if they refuse to pay these sums to points calculated on legitimacy.
