Aden, NewsYemen:

The Yemeni Socialist Party and the Nasserite Popular Unionist Organization considered the republican decisions to appoint a public prosecutor for the republic from outside the members of the judiciary, and to appoint members to the Shura Council and the presidency of the Council as a flagrant violation of the constitution and a flagrant violation of the Judicial Authority Law.

In a joint statement, the Socialist Party and the Nasserite Organization considered the decision to appoint a Presidency of the Shura Council a flagrant violation and a blatant assault on the right of the members of the Shura Council to be expanded and reconstituted in choosing the Presidency of the Council in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the internal regulations of the Council issued by law.

While the Socialist Party and the Nasserite Organization in their statement denounced Hadi's recent decisions, the statement affirmed that they represent a coup against the principles of consensus and national partnership and on the references of the transitional period, and in particular the document of guarantees for the implementation of the outcomes of the dialogue, which stipulated the expansion and restructuring of the Shura Council on par between North and South.

The Socialist Party and the Nasserite Organization denounced the decisions issued by the President of the Republic, which did not take into account the importance of achieving the required balance at this stage in the appointment decisions between North and South in the various state institutions.

The Socialist Party and the Nasserite Organization demanded President Hadi to end the state of exclusivity and commitment to partnership and consensus, and to the terms of reference and principles governing the management of the transitional phase.

The statement stressed that the president's decisions would undermine the hope generated by the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement and the formation of the National Partnership Government, and frustrate the aspirations made to it to establish security and stability, and to carry out radical and deep reforms, on the path to establishing an attractive model for the state.

The Nasserite joint statement called for the path of legitimacy, enabling it to overcome all the mistakes and sins of the previous period, strengthen the cohesion of the national ranks, unify all efforts and energies to restore the state, end the coup, and establish a comprehensive and lasting peace.

The two parties' statement indicated that the decisions issued by the presidency will lead to creating obstacles to enabling the government to carry out its tasks in an atmosphere of national consensus that supports its steps to face challenges.

The Socialist Party and the Nasserite Organization called on the President of the Republic to retract his decisions and reconfigure the Shura Council in accordance with what was stipulated in the Guarantees Document for implementing the outcomes of the comprehensive dialogue, and to appoint the Attorney General in accordance with the procedures stipulated in the Judicial Authority Law.
