Sanaa, NewsYemen:

The Arab coalition fighters launched raids, at dawn on Sunday, on targets of the Houthi militia, the Iranian arm, in and around Sanaa, and violent explosions were heard.

Local residents told "NewsYemen" that the coalition raids targeted the Houthi militia sites in the maintenance camp, Al-Hafa and Al-Nahyan, and demolished a missile launcher in Hamadan, northwest of the capital, Sana'a.

Fighter jets also carried out raids on the Jarban area in Sanhan, south of Sanaa.

Plumes of smoke rose from the targeted places, as overflights continued after the strikes.

On March 7, the Arab coalition announced the start of a military operation to target the capabilities of the Houthis in several Yemeni governorates.

"The military operation targets the Houthi capabilities in the occupied capital, Sanaa, and a number of provinces," the Arab coalition said in a statement published by the Saudi Press Agency.

The coalition asserted in its statement that "civilians and civilian objects in Saudi Arabia are a red line," stressing that "we will hold terrorist leaderships that attempt to target civilians and civilian objects", noting that the operation "is consistent with international humanitarian law and its customary rules."
