Ibb, NewsYemen, private:

For years, Ibb Governorate has been under the authority of a group of supervisors affiliated with the Houthi militia, who are met by an administrative cadre that has been weakened, exhausted, and reduced its functions in favor of the influential.

Muhammad Lotf, an expatriate, suffered a lot while returning to visit his family.

He told NewsYemen, "Whoever creates crises and tells you that he is working for your benefit, do not trust that he will build a state or give you services one day, even if he has all the ingredients."

He adds: It is ironic that he claims to fight corruption and strives for development while looting revenues, destroying existing infrastructure and protecting black market traders.

He asserts, that this is the mentality of the Houthi group that runs Ibb governorate, which has outperformed the rest of the governorates after it was the capital of peace.

 aid looting

Reports indicate that the militia seizes most of the aid that reaches the governorate, including material support for projects, including foodstuffs that it sells or distributes unfairly.

Citizens accused the leadership of the local authority, deliberately humiliating the citizen by making him stand in long queues in front of the doors of organizations and stations selling fuel and gas, sometimes even for a loaf of bread.

They stressed that there is an unprecedented increase in the number of operating organizations that take luxurious headquarters for themselves with the support of leaders who follow Iran's arm.

Domestic gas is one of the most important services that the Houthis manipulate, starting with the oil company and ending with the supervisors, which makes people unable to continue their work normally and their preoccupation with providing gas.

spoiled food

Recently, reports have been published confirming the high incidence of infection among citizens as a result of eating some spoiled and expired foods that are recycled and distributed to people.

Citizens demanded that the supervisory authorities and the media expose the process of corruption of the organizations, which are now in every street in order to loot the donors, nothing more, and to manipulate aid.

There is also widespread dissatisfaction with the behavior of supervisors and the harassment of many cadres working in courts, police departments, work, duties and education.  In addition to the university staff, they are the most important and prominent link in this department.

new departments

The militia had installed new bodies to replace the official authorities, such as the "security supervisor", "community supervisor", "justice committee" and "grievance redress commission", and it was also seeking to establish a "project executive unit" and "planning unit" and many other names.

It should be noted that these agencies did not change anything about the reality of the governorate, neither at the level of the judiciary nor the security and the high crime rate, not to mention that the looting of state lands and citizens still exists, and the information indicates that there is no longer a single scheme that has not been violated by the influential.

Nepotism and chaos

After the governorate turned into an arena of chaos, officials complained about the increase in nepotism and the hiring of close people and loyalists at the expense of qualified cadres.

Numerous complaints were raised about the looting of a land area of nearly 500 by influential people with the complicity of the local authority, not to mention the facilitation of Sharia agents working in the field of law and pleading in some cases.

Recently, a sheikh and a Sharia agent looted 7 million riyals, which is the full blood money amount belonging to an inmate of the central prison.  Other information stated that a lawyer looted a citizen 35 million riyals.
