Aden, NewsYemen:

The joint forces revealed, on Friday evening, new information about the process of dismantling a spy cell belonging to the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - in the district of Mawza in the western coast.

The military media reported that the General Intelligence Division of the National Resistance was able to seize and dismantle the Houthi cell after a careful monitoring and investigation process.

He explained that three of the most dangerous members of the cell were arrested, all of them from the Mowza district in Taiz governorate, they are Shams Al-Din Muhammad Muqbil Al-Hamiri, Muhammad Awad Darwish, and Ezz Al-Din Abdo Ali Rai, after they were recruited by a Houthi leader from the district’s people named (Imad Abdul Salam Al-Humairi) and operates in militia-controlled areas.

The cell’s confessions revealed two main missions for it on the western coast, the first to monitor the movements of the joint forces, their leaders, and social figures in the southern and northern axes of the western coast in the governorates of Taiz and Hodeidah, and the second to purchase weapons and ammunition from merchants on the western coast and transfer them to Houthi militia-controlled areas.

The seizure and dismantling of the cell is a new qualitative security achievement for the General Intelligence Division of the National Resistance, which previously dismantled a series of cells on the western coast affiliated with the Houthi militia, the most important of which are the Mocha cell, the weapons smuggling cell associated with the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, and the IED planting cell, which constitutes a severe blow to the militias.

The military media said that detailed confessions of the cell members will be published at a later time.
