Houthi militia invites Iran's foreign minister to visit Sanaa

On Saturday, August 28, 2021 AD, the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - invited Iranian Foreign Minister Hassan Amir Abdullahian to visit Sanaa, which is run by the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hassan Erlo, since his appointment as a virtual ambassador to his country in Sanaa.

In a memorandum issued by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Sana'a - NewsYemen obtained a copy of it - the appointed foreign minister, Hisham Sharaf, invited the Iranian leader, Hussein Abdullahian, to visit what he described as (your second country, the Republic of Yemen) in the near future.

According to the document, he expressed the honor of Sana'a's readiness to work with the Iranian Foreign Ministry "in order to enhance joint cooperation between our two countries and ways to enhance and develop them, as well as joint cooperation in order to contribute to maintaining the security and safety of the countries of the Gulf region and the southern Red Sea."

In a comment, the leader of the Iranian Revolutionary Guard, Hassan Erlo, considered that Sanaa's invitation to Iranian Foreign Minister Abdullahian to visit Yemen "confirms the depth of the strategic relationship between the two countries and in various fields," as he put it.
