Aden, NewsYemen, Muhammad Jassar:

The city of Aden is one of the most prominent cities, due to its rich antiquities and heritage.  But historical and heritage places suffer from neglect.

“In the balance of the steadfast heritage, the scale of the city of Aden is weighted,” this is how history professor Abdullah Razim tells, in a voice filled with burning, about the reality of heritage and important archaeological sites in the city of Aden.

The city of Aden was, and still does, carry with it many evidences of the past, archeology and heritage, rich in it.

Abdullah Razim tells "News" about the urgent need to clarify the extent of the city's memory of the heritage and antiquities of its people, pointing to the issue of neglecting many of the lively and vital aspects of the city, such as the Abdali Palace and Aden cisterns, which it is necessary to take real care of and many others.

While noting the absent role of the Ministry of Culture in this matter: "It is surprising that the Ministry of Culture and its office do not have any real and serious action in the matter of interest in antiquities and heritage:.

In the descent of Newsymen to the cisterns of Aden, which is well known, we found that the lack of interest in the remaining monuments is very clear.  A visitor to the cisterns said: It is incumbent on schools and universities to make periodic visits and trips to the cisterns, and the Sirat Municipality should take care of the cleanliness of the basins, which were filled with algae from stagnant water, and the Ministry of Culture should put archaeological sites at the center of its concerns.
