A shocking report on Hadi’s tampering with the authority’s budget for personal purposes

A shocking report by the Judicial Authority Budget Examination and Review Committee formed by the Southern Judges Club revealed a massive tampering with huge sums of money in the judiciary's budget.

The report emphasized that the judiciary has not submitted a final account since the start of the normalization of judicial work in 2017 until the current year, except for 2019, although the budget is increasing from 2017 to 2021.

This came in a press conference held at Coral Hotel in the capital, Aden, yesterday, in a report by the Southern Judges Club on a number of serious budget violations of the judiciary.

The report was surprised by the amount of 130,614.235 riyals spent in exchange for food and clothing, about which it said: "We do not know what food and clothing this huge amount was spent on."

He confirmed the disbursement of 161,648,945 riyals as expenses for fuel and oils, and an amount of 43,837.009 riyals for spare parts of transportation.

He wondered from when these monstrous sums are being disbursed at a time when members of the judiciary are not being disbursed for transportation or expenses for fuel and oils.

The report mentioned the total disbursed in the item of rewards, and without specifying those granted to these rewards for the year 2019, an amount of 621,047,281 riyals, an increase of 83,852,474 riyals over the year 2018, the Judicial Council 87,671,431 riyals, the Supreme Court 81,530,321 riyals, the Public Prosecution 58,781,500 riyals..etc.

He pointed out that the expenditures under the item of hospitality for the Supreme Judicial Council amounted to 109,352,142 riyals, and other expenses of 98,520.921 riyals, without clarifying the details of the exchange, its necessity and the beneficiaries ... etc.

The amount of exchange under the item of internal transfers to the Supreme Judicial Council amounted to 267.619,273 riyals, and attendance at conferences and external transfers amounted to 162,218,407 riyals without clarification of the details of the exchange, the beneficiaries, the nature and locations of the conferences.

The report pointed out some of the expenses of the Chief Justice, including $24,000 annual rent for personal housing, 15,040,000 riyals for a 2016 model saloon car, 64,400,000 riyals for a 2018 Lexus, and 33.797,850 riyals for an armored car,  Although the chief justice and others were given armored cars from the coalition.

As for the massive disbursement that took place by “Ahmed Al-Musai”, appointed as Attorney General, and the implementation of the decision of his appointment was postponed by the decision of the Administrative Court, the amount he withdrew from an unclassified amount to him personally in February 2021 AD, amounted to 312,000,000 riyals, and in March 190,000,000 riyals, and in  April 206,000,000 riyals, in May 220,000,000 riyals, in June 212,000,000 riyals, in July 187,000,000 riyals, and in August 561,484,000 riyals.

The report said that if it were used properly, it would have established the pillars of security and stability in order to create a strong and deterrent judiciary for anyone who begs himself to violate the law and harm his standing and prestige.
