Marib, NewsYemen, Private:

The tribes and the local resistance, backed by units of government forces, thwarted, during the past hours, 13 attacks by the Iranian-backed Houthi militia, towards the city of Marib, from the Serwah district to the west, and another in the south of the governorate, while informed sources spoke of the militias incurring heavy losses among the elements.  "Death Brigades" trained by Iran on the Marib fronts.

Field sources stated that the Houthi combat operations were concentrated on the "Al-Mashajah, Al-Kasara and Al-Zour" fronts, in the Serwah district, while the two sides exchanged artillery shelling towards the "Al-Mukhdara" front, after monitoring intense Houthi movements there, as a new attempt to advance them towards the fronts west of the city was thwarted.  Marib.

The sources indicated that the exchange of bombardment between the two sides extended to the heavily forested fronts in the northwest of the city, largely concentrated in the Mas belt and Wadi Halhlan, extending to Houthi concentrations in those areas.

In the south of Marib, the tribes thwarted a new attempt by the Houthis to advance towards "Haid Al Ahmad and the Buqtha Front" located between the Rahba and Jabal Murad districts, which have been witnessing battles between the two sides for days.

On the other hand, field sources in Marib spoke of heavy losses received by the so-called Houthi "death brigades" during the past few days on the "Al-Kasara, Al-Mushajah and Rahba" fronts, after numbers of them were paid under the direct instructions of Abdul-Malik Al-Houthi.

According to the sources, a number of those battalions that received training at the hands of foreign experts, most of them from Saada, were killed on the Marib fronts, including field leaders, which prompted the Houthi leadership and the Houthi operations room in the vicinity of Marib, which is run by foreign elements, to change plans, attack, spread and focus.  On the fronts of Al-Jawf surrounding Marib, especially the fronts of "Al-Shahla, Al-Jadafir, Al-Alam, and Al-Rayyan Desert".

The Houthi militias are seeking to break the defensive lines separating Marib and Al-Jawf, and to achieve a breakthrough towards the city of Marib and Safer, after failing to achieve any progress from the western and southern fronts, since the beginning of this year, during which they received repeated losses and defeats at the hands of tribes defending their areas in Marib.

The sources expected that the militias would start new combat operations towards Marib, "the last stronghold of legitimacy" in the vicinity of Sana'a, through the axes of Al-Jawf and Al-Bayda, as they sent large reinforcements to the two governorates during the past two days, including various combat mechanisms.

The coalition fighters targeted on Friday, Houthi reinforcements, including advanced and qualitative combat mechanisms, that were pushed to the Al-Bayda fronts, and were deployed at the "Al-Qunda'" obstacle front on the outskirts of Baihan, Shabwa, before they reached the road linking Bayhan Shabwa and Marib.
