Legitimacy demands an urgent financial deposit to avoid the collapse of the economy

 The legitimate government called on the international community for urgent financial support to avoid further economic collapse in Yemen, in light of the unprecedented collapse of the Yemeni riyal against foreign currencies in the legitimate areas of influence.

Foreign Minister Ahmed Awad bin Mubarak said, in a speech before the United Nations General Assembly, on Monday, that Yemen "is in dire need of a financial support package, including a financial deposit for the Central Bank, urgently, to prevent further collapse of the Yemeni economy and the national currency."

Ibn Mubarak called, "the international community and the donor community to support the economy, enhance resilience and create job opportunities for Yemenis."

Ibn Mubarak also called for "exerting more pressure on the Houthis to supply the collected sums to the Central Bank to pay the salaries of the civil sector regularly, and to stop imposing exorbitant levies in their areas of control to finance their war effort and their multiple religious occasions."
