Shabwa, NewsYemen, private:

The Houthi militia has intensified steps to consolidate its grip on the Bihan districts of Shabwa, after two weeks of taking control of them without a fight, amid the complete absence of any military move to restore them by the Brotherhood, which controls the governorate.

Activists from the Houthi group circulated pictures showing preparations made by the group to celebrate the anniversary of the Prophet's birthday in the upper city of Bayhan, amid information about the group's intention to bring dozens of its members to the city and mobilize them to promote the presence of support for it among the sons of Bayhan.

Local sources said that what the Houthi group is doing is part of a tendency to spread its sectarian ideas among the people of Baihan districts, through various means to ensure the survival of its control and prevent its fall from its hand, as happened in 2017, amid rejection and resistance from the people of Baihan.

She pointed to the videos that spread during the past days, which showed the group's members chanting its sectarian slogan called "The Scream" inside the city's mosques, and others giving sectarian and incendiary lectures to students in Bayhan schools.

The sources revealed that the Houthi group sent forty young men from Bayhan to Saada and Sana'a to take intensive cultural and sectarian courses, in order to entrust the dissemination of the group's ideas to them among young people in the areas of Bayhan.

The sources said that the attempts of "Hawthna" of Baihan districts came in light of complete calm on the military side by the Shabwa authorities, which are under the control of the Brotherhood and which also controls the military and security forces in the governorate.

She added that the governorate's leaders, led by the Brotherhood's governor, Muhammad bin Udayo, contented themselves with taking pictures near the Safra area, southwest of the Usaylan districts, and making media statements about the military move to restore the Bayhan districts from the grip of the Houthi militia.

Confirming that the Al-Safra Front has not witnessed any military confrontations since the fall of the Bihan districts, and that the statements of the Brotherhood's civil and military authority came with the aim of absorbing popular anger at what happened, and the sources indicated that the opposite is what happened, as the Houthi militias made progress during the past hours on the front amid news of its control over it.

The sources said that the recent tension witnessed by the city of Ataq during the past two days between security leaders loyal to the Brotherhood, as part of their struggles over royalties and levies and the imposition of influence, confirms that they are not interested in confronting the Houthi militia.

Ataq witnessed severe tension between the followers of the Director of Criminal Investigation, Brigadier Abdullah Ali Al-Ayachi, on the one hand, and the followers of the Shabwa Security Director, Brigadier Awad Al-Dahboul, on the other, after Al-Dahboul dismissed Al-Ayachi after news of his nomination for the position of security director.
