The commander of the giants announces the success of Operation Cyclone of the South with the liberation of Usaylan

 On Saturday the commander of the Giants Brigades, Brigadier General Abu Zara'a al-Muharrami, announced the success of the first phase of Operation Cyclone the South, with the liberation of Usaylan District, Shabwa Governorate, southeast of Yemen.

Earlier today, the Giants Brigades launched a large-scale military operation against the Houthi militia, in the Usaylan district, west of Shabwa governorate.

Units of the giants took control of the center of the Usaylan district, after violent battles with the Houthi militia, in which the latter sustained deaths, injuries and material losses in its ranks.

The forces of the First Brigade also took control of Al-Akda, Al-Mahkamah, Al-Hajar, and Waheed bin Aqil districts in the same district, leaving only some Houthi pockets that shelter in the homes of citizens."

In September 2021, forces affiliated with the Brotherhood's Islah Party handed over the three districts of Bayhan to the Houthi militia without a fight, including the Usaylan district, which was recaptured today by the Giants' forces, in addition to the districts of Bayhan and Ain.
