Aden, NewsYemen, special:

Contrary to the attempts to agitate the north against the “south” represented in the person of the president of the Southern Transitional Council “Major General Aidarous Qassem al-Zubaidi” after he took the oath of membership in the Leadership Council, northern activists and writers welcomed the “ al-Zubaidi oath” formula, refusing to continue the “Brotherhood battles against the south” that prevailed at previous stage.

On Tuesday, Major General Al-Zubaidi took the oath in the capital, Aden, but excluded from it the words "the republican and unity", which partisan forces known for their hostility to the south in particular and Yemen in general considered a distortion and transgression.  Some even demanded that Major General Al-Zubaidi return the oath.

Just as activists and politicians from the northern governorates criticized Major General al-Zubaidi and accused him of distorting the oath, others praised the oath that the brigade performed, stressing that it was sincere and did not violate its principles or directions, while at the same time pledging to help liberate northern Yemen from the Houthi militias.

The journalist Sayyaf Al-Gharbani wrote: "The Brotherhood's party on the "Zubaidi oath" is another indication of the shallowness and conspiracy of the Brotherhood's mentality."  He said: “The Houthis trample the republican system every day, and they have been practicing geographical, social and economic division for seven years.  Instead of talking about the restoration of Sanaa and the north, these mobs are desperate to maintain the debate over Aden and the south...unity and separation.”

Adviser to the Minister of Information, Fahd Talib Al-Sharafi, said that Aidarous Al-Zubaidi made the oath before the oath a reality and actually proved it on the field.  And he struggled with his comrades, and they struggled, sacrificed, steadfastly, and bonded until victory was achieved for them and the south, adding that there were those who swore a thousand times and left the republican system and fled, surviving with his life.

He pointed out, in another tweet, that some were waiting for this section to be presented to the southerners on the basis that Al-Zubaidi sold the case, commenting on this by saying, "God is aware of it, O Aidarous, you defeated them for the seventy-seventh time, you are successful."

Head of the Center for Political Studies, Dr.  Khaled Al-Shamiri, too, indicated that whoever was waiting for President Aidarous to take a constitutional oath outside the framework of the southern people's hopes and ambitions is delusional, noting that the position of the Southern Command is clear and honest from the beginning.

"They will not circumvent the southern issue or betray the mandate given to them by the southern street, and they will not sell the sacrifices and blood that were made in order to achieve independence," he said.

The well-known politician Dr. Essam Shreim, head of the Congress Party in Hodeidah, praised Major General Aidarous al-Zubaidi, and said, "How much you grew up in my opinion when you feared God and did not deal with the oath in Ramadan while you were fasting as a mere protocol, and during your oath you exceeded what was stated against your convictions."

He added, "I disagree with you in your convictions, but I respected your fear of God in you. As long as you fear God in just an oath, then you have goodness, and I will bet you that you are fair to the West before the South. May God's peace be upon you."

In turn, journalist Abdul-Wahhab Nimran commented on Al-Zubaidi’s section by saying, “This is an honest man. By God, if he did not even swear, he and all the honorable people of the southern governorates would thank him. They received us after the December 2 uprising and today they receive the leaders of the republic to restore Sana’a by war or peace. We can only say  May God bless you, O sons of the South. Thanks are due to the coalition led by the Kingdom and the Emirates.

Political activist Noura Al-Jarawi, too, praised Major General Al-Zubaidi, stressing that he has the right to say whatever he wants, and said, "Major General Aidarous Al-Zubaidi, member of the Presidential Council and President of the Southern Transitional Council, possesses wisdom and foresight, and many, many hype about it."

"He has the right to say whatever he wants. The earth is their land and the sky is their sky, and everyone must respect this position. Today, the southerners are standing with us to liberate our abducted homes from the Houthi militia."

Political activist Abdullah Farhan spoke at length about Aidarous al-Zubaidi's story with the constitutional oath, and said, "I believe that the text of the constitutional oath that Aidarous al-Zubaidi swore before the House of Representatives in his capacity as Vice Chairman of the Presidential Leadership Council is the correct text for him as a representative of the Southern Transitional Council.  That's his credibility and frankness."

He added: "Al-Zubaidi had previously, in a press conference in Riyadh two weeks ago, spoke very clearly about a road map in which he stated that with the restoration of the state to Yemen as a whole and the return of Sanaa as the capital of Yemen and the administration of the Presidential Council for the transitional period until stability is achieved for Yemen and after the end of the transitional period, the people of the south will obtain  Their entitlement to self-determination,” pointing out that it is not acceptable to swear before the people to preserve unity in a way that is contrary to his convictions and the path that was agreed upon, expressing his thanks to Al-Zubaidi for his clarity and credibility, and we must respect his convictions and the convictions of those who represent them.
