Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

The intransigence of the Houthi militia, Iran's arm in Yemen, caused the postponement of the first international flight to Sanaa Airport, coming from Queen Alia Airport in Jordan, as part of the humanitarian truce announced by the United Nations and lasting for two months, bringing with it the lifting of the Houthi siege on the city of Taiz to the fore.

And the Yemeni Airlines company announced, on Saturday evening, that it had not received operating permits for its first flight from Sanaa International Airport to the Jordanian capital, Amman, which was scheduled to launch today, Sunday, April 24 at eight o’clock in the morning, knowing that it has started procedures for booking tickets for travelers on this flight.  And it has made all its technical preparations in terms of the plane's arrival and take-off time and then its return to Sana'a International Airport from Amman, and this flight will be a good gesture to transport patients and travelers from Sana'a to Amman.

The company expressed its deep regret to travelers that it was not allowed to operate the first of those flights from Sana'a International Airport, and hopes that all problems will be overcome in the near future and allow the company to resume its flights from Sana'a.

The Houthi militia tried to exploit these statements, to hold the Arab coalition led by Saudi Arabia responsible for postponing the flight, according to the Undersecretary of the Civil Aviation and Meteorology Authority under its control, Raed Talib Jabal, who said that the coalition repudiated its obligations by refusing to grant Yemeni Airlines permission to land the flight, and considering that  a breach of the humanitarian armistice.

However, the government, through the Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, Muammar Al-Eryani, revealed the responsibility of the Iranian militias for the failure to operate the first commercial flight between Sanaa International Airport and the Jordanian capital, Amman.

The government agency, Saba, quoted Al-Eryani as saying that the government agreed to travel (104) passengers on the first flight from Sanaa International Airport to the Jordanian capital, Amman, but the terrorist Houthi militia refused and insisted, and still insists, on adding (60) passengers with unreliable passports, in  There is still information confirming its planning to exploit the flights during the two months of the armistice to smuggle dozens of its leaders, leaders and experts of the Iranian Revolutionary Guards and the Lebanese Hezbollah, with fake names and forged documents.

Al-Eryani called on the international community, the United Nations and the UN envoy to pressure the terrorist Houthi militia to stop manipulating this humanitarian file, and to take citizens in areas under its control as hostages to reap gains, without regard to their conditions and their aggravating suffering, and to expedite the launch of the flight in implementation of the terms of the truce declaration under UN auspices.

Opening Sanaa Airport to international flights is linked to lifting the siege on the city of Taiz, opening roads and allowing citizens to enter and exit the city easily instead of the bumpy roads they used to take, but the Houthi militia refuses even to discuss this matter.

The Houthi militias impose a siege on the city of Taiz from three directions: eastern, western and northern. The city owns only the southern port that connects it with the capital, Aden, and is under the control of the Brotherhood militia affiliated with the Taiz axis, which from time to time closes it to impose levies and royalties.

The postponement of the Yemenia trip to Sana’a re-questioned the extent of the Houthi militia’s commitment to the item related to lifting the siege on Taiz, especially with the Presidential Leadership Council’s affirmation, on Saturday, of its adherence to the humanitarian truce, and its stress on the need to urgently lift the siege imposed by the terrorist Houthi militia on the city of Taiz and all Yemeni cities.

A member of the Supportive Consultation and Reconciliation Commission of the Presidential Leadership Council, Olfat Al-Dabai, said in a post on her Facebook account, that despite the legitimate government’s commitment to the terms of the armistice and partially opening Sanaa airport with two flights in order to alleviate the suffering of the citizens, the Houthi group still refuses to abide by the terms of the armistice and open crossings  Taiz humanity, and while the legitimate government has submitted its representatives to negotiate with the envoy's office, the Houthi group has so far refused to name its representatives to negotiate.

She pointed out that the Houthis do not take any consideration for the suffering of the people of Taiz and deal with Taiz as a political file to barter the comprehensive peace process and do not deal with Taiz as a humanitarian file, asking: How will the legitimate government and Taiz parties deal with this Houthi arrogance, and will it leave it subject to the Houthis' evasion and procrastination until the deadline ends?  The armistice, which is the goal that the Houthis want from this procrastination?
