Gulf newspaper: The new coalition initiative aims to end the Yemeni crisis

The Emirati newspaper (Al-Ittihad) confirmed that the Arab coalition's initiative to release 163 Houthi prisoners who participated in the hostilities against Saudi Arabia aims to support the ongoing Arab and international efforts and endeavors to end the Yemeni crisis.

The newspaper stated - in its editorial, on Friday, under the title: "A qualitative initiative" - that the references to a political solution exist in the Gulf initiative and its executive mechanism, the outcomes of the comprehensive national dialogue, and Security Council Resolution No. 2216, and peace is possible with simultaneous steps from all parties keen first to end the suffering  Yemenis from war, and achieve lasting security and stability.

It pointed out that the UAE "always affirms support for comprehensive political settlement efforts through a serious dialogue that discusses all issues to consolidate peace and achieve prosperity for brotherly Yemen."
