Aden, NewsYemen, special:

As the date of the end of the hypothetical truce announced on April 2, 2022 , for a period of two months, is approaching, the Houthi militia - the Iranian arm in Yemen - will have received about 15 oil derivatives ships, during the period from April 17 to May 25, 2022.

Contrary to the provisions of the fragile truce, the Houthi militia is still imposing a stifling siege on civilians in its areas of control, triggering crises of oil derivatives, and still confiscating the salaries of state employees since its coup against state institutions in September 2014.  It also continues to block roads between cities, and to impose an unjust siege on civilians in the city of Taiz.

According to the ship movement data in the port of Hodeidah - NewsYemen obtained a copy of it - 10 petrol ships and 5 diesel ships left the port, after unloading their cargo of oil derivatives during the period from April 17 to May 25, 2022 .

360,000 tons of oil derivatives entered

The amount of gasoline that entered the port on board these ships is estimated at about 220,000 tons, while the amount of diesel was estimated at 140,000 tons, which is enough to flood the oil derivatives market in Sana’a and its neighboring governorates, which is positively reflected in the increase in the supply of these materials, and thus the decrease  The demand for it, leading to a decline in its prices, and its impact on transportation wages, the prices of goods and consumables, electricity and water bills, and all services, as a normal economic equation, prevented the Houthi militia from achieving it.

These ships were distributed among 4 agents and companies, led by International Navigation with 4 ships, and Al Mukaber Navigation companies, Enjaz Navigation, Royal Plus, were equal in second place, with 3 ships for each company, and one ship for each of Sheba International, the Middle East, and the Arabian Sea.

After the truce was announced, the Houthi militia announced the entry of 4 oil derivatives ships, and then raised the price of a 20-liter can of gasoline from 9,900 riyals before the truce was announced, to 12,600 riyals, an increase of 2,700 riyals, in a price dose that disappointed the hopes of citizens in Sanaa and its neighboring provinces.

The profits of the Houthi militia from the difference in this dose in gasoline for the four ships only amounted to 23,540,625,000 Yemeni riyals, while the customs revenues of the four ships amounted to 8,980,312,000 riyals, at a rate of 1030 riyals for every 20 liters of oil derivatives.

Just as the Houthi militia began the period of the hypothetical truce with a price dose in the prices of oil derivatives, the days of the truce ended with a similar dose, by approving on Saturday, May 28, 2022, the price of a 20-liter can of gasoline to reach 12800 riyals, an increase of 800 riyals.

Houthi Siege on Civilians During the Truce  Time

The Houthi militia calculates what it calls the commission of the oil company (a government company) and storage fees of 210 riyals for every 20 liters of oil derivatives.

According to the armistice agreement, it was decided to allocate the revenues of the oil derivatives ships agreed to enter, without paying customs or taxes to the state, in terms of paying the salaries of civil sector employees in areas controlled by the Houthi militia, however, the Houthi militia continued to besiege civilians and double their burdens.

The head of the Presidential Command Council in Yemen, Rashad Al-Alimi, estimated in a public speech on Tuesday, April 20, the total fees for ships agreed in the truce plan approved to enter the port of Hodeidah at about 90 billion riyals.
