Ibb, NewsYemen, private:

Informed sources reported that the Ministry of Education, which is under the control of the Houthi militia in Sanaa, informed private school principals of a new decision about the collection of tuition fees.

The sources stated that they demanded that they liquidate all remaining fees for students and oblige parents to pay a portion of next year's fees under the pretext of reserving a seat.

Parents complained of these strange abuses, which lead the educational process to an abyss, and do not take into account the situation and conditions of families where most of their children live without salaries or any income.

One of the fathers stated that he was surprised by a call from the school administration in which his son is studying, telling him of the circular, although until the study begins, he still has at least two months left.

He added, strangely enough, that the circular is binding, unless the student will be deprived of reserving a seat or paying a late fine, and that the specified period is a week.

Citizens said that this is exploitation and the occupation of gangs, and that it is improvised decisions aimed at tightening the screws on parents and students together, and looting them at the same time.

One of the parents asked: There are those who want to change school and others who have moved their residence to another place or left the city, so how do you ask someone to pay money for a service that he has not specified yet?

The militias had prevented private schools from carrying out any training or rehabilitation work during the summer vacation, and had also imposed unfair conditions, including teaching lieutenants and special curricula, unless they were not entitled to continue establishing these centers, which was rejected by many school administrations.

According to reports, the militia completely took over the summer centers, and even boasted, through the statements of some leaders, of the huge numbers that joined the centers, most of them young and old.

Recently, a video clip showed a leader from Bayt al-Kibsi inciting a group of high school students, during their final exams, to join the battle fronts and recite verses from the Qur'an urging them to jihad.
