Sana'a, NewsYemen:

The prominent parliamentarian in Yemen, Ahmed Saif Hashed, said that there is another battle taking place at the Al-Shahid Al-Qardei School for Girls in Amanat Al-Asimah between the principal of the Houthi-appointed school and female high school students because of their chanting the national anthem and national slogans instead of the Iranian cry.

Hashed published a post on his Facebook page under the title "Unencrypted tweets.. Education is in danger," in which he stressed that the battle of the national slogan and the cry in Sanaa is an ongoing battle, and what happened in the Martyr Al-Qardei School and the dismissal of the student Bushra Al-Aqil is just an example.

The parliamentarian, who is currently in the capital, Sana'a, added that the Martyr Al-Qardei School in Sana'a witnessed a battle between second-grade secondary school students.  The people (A) and the school director a month ago, after the battle of the “galabib” that the school witnessed.  He explained that the battle erupted after the school principal's decision to replace the national emblem with the scream, which was rejected by the high school students, especially the students of Division A from the second year of secondary science who were chanting a national slogan at the time.

According to Hashid, the school director punished the students of this section every school day by preventing them from entering the classroom and depriving them of studying for two lessons per day, noting that the students' refusal to chant the cry occurred during the presence of a delegation from the Houthi group who was visiting the school, which angered the principal.

He explained: "After the delegation left the school, the school principal went to the classroom and threatened the students of Division (A) and deducted ten marks for each student. Although some students offered the principal their acceptance with a shout, but after chanting the national slogan, but the principal refused.

He added: "This situation prompted one of the students of the division, whose name is Bushra Al-Aqel, to leave the classroom, and her colleagues followed her, heading to the school yard and chanting the national slogan before the director issued a decision to dismiss her;  To threaten the rest of the female students, but the female students continued their refusal, which led to the principal accepting the previous offer, represented in chanting the cry, but after chanting the national slogan.

According to parliamentarian Ahmed Seif, the student, Bushra Al-Aqel, is still expelled from school to this day, and the fate of her studies is not known after she was handed over the study file from the school administration on the day of the dismissal decision.
