Aden, NewsYemen:

The covenants and treaties signed by the sheikhs of the Yafa tribes Humaiqan the Lahj governorate and the Hamiqan tribes in the Al-Bayda governorate during the past years are on the verge of collapse, with the Houthi militias exploiting the latter’s areas to bomb residential villages in Yafa.

The attacks and dangerous escalation of the Houthi militias from the lands of the Humaiqan tribes in Al-Bayda towards the areas of Yafa, became frequent, escalating, and significantly due to the collapse of the international armistice on the second of October.

The Yafa and Al Humaiqan tribes are bound by timeless tribal pacts and treaties signed decades ago, and they are customs that speak of good neighborliness and rapprochement in common issues between the two neighboring regions.

The commander of the Yafa axis, Major General Saleh Ali Hassan, confirmed that the Houthi repeated incursions towards the Yafa front from the areas of Al-Humaiqan were confronted and thwarted by the southern forces, and the Houthi militias inflicted heavy losses, which prompted them to adopt their criminal method with all their losses in bombing residential villages and targeting civilians.

He added during a meeting held at the headquarters of the Yafa axis in the presence of prominent military and security leaders: "The forces stationed in the border front are defensive, and we are advocates of peace for those who exchanged peace with us."

The meeting confirmed that Yafa has eternal neighborly relations with the neighboring regions of the Hamiqan tribes. It was baptized by previous covenants and Yafea still respects and adheres to them. The meeting confirmed that Yafa has eternal neighborly relations with the neighboring regions of the Humaiqan tribes. It was baptized by previous covenants and Yafea still respects and adheres to them. However, the Houthi militias and their attacks on Yafa, and the forces stationed in it, disturb the old relationship between Yafa and the neighboring tribes.

The military leaders demanded the tribes of Al Humayqan and the rest of the neighboring areas to abide by their good-neighborly relationship, and not to allow movements or beatings by the Houthi militia, so as not to force the southern forces to take what they deem appropriate to protect Yafa.

Reiterating that they are committed to the previous tribal pacts if the other party adheres to them.

On the other hand, the air defenses of the southern forces on the Hadd Yafa’ front managed to shoot down a Houthi militia reconnaissance plane that was hovering over the sky of the Hadd Yafa Directorate, bordering with al-Bayda Governorate.
