Sana'a, NewsYemen, private:

The Houthi militia, the Iranian arm in Yemen, issued a circular obligating drivers of small public transport buses in Sanaa, which is under its control, to reinstall the interior seats facing each other.

Owners of transport buses in Sanaa told NewsYemen that the militia leaders in Sana'a traffic issued a circular obligating owners and drivers of small buses to reinstall the passenger seats so that they are not opposite each other.

They added that the Houthi militia gave the owners of the minibus until the end of October to change the position of the opposite seats to the position of the hierarchy (seat after another), threatening to take punitive measures and impose financial penalties against violators.

The decision comes within the systematic practices of the Houthi militia that aims to restrict the public and private freedoms of the population in its areas of influence in northern Yemen, under moral pretexts, including preventing mixing of men and women.
