Al-Soufi: The theater of operations of the West Coast forces is Hodeidah and Taiz
English - Saturday 29 July 2023 الساعة 07:17 pmThe political journalist, Nabil Al-Soufi, reviewed the theater of operations of the joint forces in the western coast, in response to the allegations that speak of the establishment of the Republican Guard Forces, led by Brigadier General Tariq Saleh, a camp near the areas of Sabiha in Lahj governorate.
Al-Soufi, in a post on his Facebook account, explained that the theater of operations of the joint forces is in the governorates of Taiz and Al-Hodeidah, and that the Southern Giants Brigades, the Guards of the Republic, and the Tehama Brigades are spread from Bab Al-Mandab to Hays and Al-Tuhaita in the north.
He added: "As for the south within Lahj governorate, there are camps for Giants, the Shield of the Nation, a security belt, and other southern forces, from Bab al-Mandab to Aden, and each force is committed to its theater of operations, and its movements are governed by procedures within its command."
Al-Soufi touched on the geographical and social part of these areas, and explained that the governorates of Lahj and Taiz share the coast of Bab al-Mandab and the mountains adjacent to it to the north and west, and there is the state of Djibouti overlooking Bab al-Mandab also from the south, pointing out that Bab al-Mandab is a common area for all of these the parties.
He pointed out that the directorates of Mudaraba in the coast of Lahj, and Dhu Bab al-Mandab in Taiz governorate. Mayon Island belongs to Aden Governorate.
He said: "From the sixties, the city of Al-Mandab and the mountains of Sheikh Saeed are within the borders of Taiz Governorate, and Al-Sabiha is spreading in the directorates of Al-Mudaraba and Ras Al-Ara," pointing out that there are those who push the name of Al-Sabiha in media conflicts, as yesterday they were threatening its name in the south and today they are inciting it in the north.
He described what is currently happening on social media as mere media charging that does not express the tribes or their sheikhs, stressing that the tribes in these areas know their borders, and that Al-Sabiha does not want the lands of Al-Anbari and Al-Muaibi, nor does the north think even of an inch within the areas of Al-Sabiha.
