Murad tribesmen in Marib behind seizure of aid cargo, it is not bullying

A tribal source in Marib province defended the Murad tribe's motives for detaining a United Nations humanitarian aid shipment.

Armed confrontations broke out between security forces and tribal gunmen of al-Jawbah district in the southwestern part of Marib, killing three people, including two soldiers.

The source said to Newsyemen that motives are national motives and not bullying.

The aid cargo was passing through a road in the tribal areas was on its way to the Houthis in Sana'a.

The source revealed that the United Nations and through local tools are pressing the local authority to pass aid to Sana'a.

The source pointed out that Murad tribe fights alongside the Army at the military fronts against the Houthis, accusing some tribal parties - do not mention their names- to carry out attempts to fuel tensions between the security and the tribe.
