MASAM removes 41,000 Houthi landmines in Yemen

MASAM Engineering Team in Yemen announced that the team removed 2,196 landmines and exploded ordnance in the last week of January.

Osama al-Gosaibi, the director general of MASAM, said that the project in the last week of January, the team removed 1,025 anti-tank landmines and 32 antipersonnel mines.

Al-Gosaibi added the field teams in the same week removed 1,118 unexploded ordnance, and 21 explosive devices.

He added that the teams lifted 9,379 mines last January, bringing the total since the start of the project in June last June, 31 to 41,013 varied between mines, explosive devices and unexploded ordnance.
