Minister of Human Rights Mohammed Askar said that Yemen experiences a major tragedy and multiple cases of torture carried out and are still going on by the terrorist militias.

He pointed out that there are more than 23,000 people among detainees and disappeared forcibly, according to UAE al-Bayan newspaper.

The Houthi militias continue establishing and digging new graves every day, setting up secret prisons in various provinces under their control,  he added.

The Houthi militias practice all types of torture against detainees far away from Prosecution and Justice.

"There is no doubt that we hope that this tragedy will end against the Yemenis, we also hope that the torture practices carried out by the Houthi militias will end; anyone who commits a crime against any Yemeni person or torture him - partially or wholly - will be brought to justice in the near future.", he confirmed.

"We are talking about a great tragedy of torture in Yemen because of the Houthi militias. We have more than 800,000 people who have been tortured, including those who died because of torture, some of whom have had permanent disabilities, and many of them have suffered from many mental and neurological illnesses," Askar said.
