Taiz – NewsYemen.net

Informed sources told NewsYemen that Ghazwan al-Mekhlafi will surrender himself to the leadership of Taiz Military Axis to relieve pressure on the commander of 22nd Brigade Gen. Sadiq Sarhan, after Taiz military and security leaders unanimously agreed that Sarhan backs Ghazwan and leaders of armed gangs wanted for security.

The sources said that the handover of Ghazwan is conditional on the cessation of all security movements in the squares of Sarhan and not to pursue any of the wanted and talk to him in the event it is called security intervention.

Sources pointed out that the proposal of Sadiq Sarhan was not approved, and that the Islah Party demands all wanted persons in the squares of the 22nd Brigade and the 170th air defense brigade.

Informed sources said the security, military, intelligence and political and security leaders in Taiz held a meeting to discuss the tense military situation between the security director Brigadier Mansour al-Akhali and the commander of the 22nd Brigade Sadiq Sarhan which was could have been turned into a battle between the guards of the two parties because of the refusal to hand over Ghazwan al-Mekhlafi to the security campaign.

The sources added that the security director Mansour al-Akhali attributed the deterioration of security, the spread of killings and looting of property to the support and encouragement received by gangs from the leadership of military brigades.

Al-Akhali holds the commander of Taiz Military Axis the full responsibility for what is happening as a result of his total disregard and stigmatization, as if nothing had happened as he describes

The security chief al-Akhali threatened to resign if the leaders of the gangs in Taiz Ghazwan al-Mekhlafi, Bakr Sarhan and Hamam Muree are not delivered themselves to the Security Department within 24 hours.
