UN : UAE is one of the largest aid donors to Yemen

The United Arab Emirates is one of the world's largest aid donor to the Yemeni people in 2019 by supporting the United Nations Humanitarian Response Plan in Yemen.
This came in the report of the United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (OCHA) on the level of funding the Yemen's Humanitarian Response Plan 2019, which included the figures assistance to Yemen from the beginning of 2019 to 2 July 2019.
UAE aid from 2015 to June 2019 amounted to 20.53 billion dirhams ($ 5.59 billion), with humanitarian aid accounting for 34 percent and 6.93 billion dirhams ($ 1.89 billion) of total UAE aid.
While development assistance, rehabilitation and stabilization projects took 66% of the total amount of aid amounting to 13.60 billion dirhams ($ 3.70 billion).
The assistance included 15 major sectors of assistance, comprising 49 sub-sectors, covering all aspects of life and providing stability and development in the liberated provinces.
