Witnesses reported that gunmen affiliated with the Islah party, the local branch of the Muslim Brotherhood, stormed an apartment building in the city of Taiz, on Tuesday evening, and evacuated a number of families.

Witnesses told "Newsyemen" that the gunmen stormed the building in the Dhaboa neighborhood in the center of Taiz city, and forced (11 families) to leave their rented housing, without any legal justification.

They pointed out that the Brotherhood's militia threatened families to loot their property and burn the building, noting that the storming of the residential building came against the background of a criminal case with the son of the owner of the building.

According to the witnesses, the security forces were informed of the storming, and called upon to help the residents, and the director of security of the Cairo Directorate arrived, but he forced the last family remaining in the building to leave.

The city of Taiz is witnessing an unprecedented security chaos, amid the widespread spread of armed gangs and theft and robbery gangs, with the support of the de facto authority loyal to the Brotherhood's Islah Party.
