Large discounts on salaries of security personnel in Abyan

A number of public security officers in Abyan province complained of illegal deductions of between 12,000 and 20,000 Yemeni riyals, without any control.
They pointed out that these illegal discounts were deducted by security director Abu Mashal al-Kazmi and SS Commander Mohammed al-Awban, after they paid salaries through cashiers appointed for this purpose at a time when the soldiers were in difficult and complex conditions.
A number of members of the Special Security Forces fired a barrage of bullets in front of the Al-Shamil exchange shop, and the internal bottles of the shop were smashed and the exchange was suspended after the discounts reached 20,000 riyals on the grounds of absence.
The soldiers called on interim President Abed Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the leadership of the Arab Coalition to stop these discounts, hold accountable those who carry them out and transfer their salaries through al-Karimi Bank.
