While the Saudi capital witnessed, a few days ago, a wide dialogue with the participation of the Southern Transitional Council, with the aim of setting a road map for the implementation of the Riyadh Agreement, the Brotherhood tended to escalate militarily on two axes: the first in Shabwa, second, in Al-Hujariyah, to the south of Taiz Governorate.

The Brotherhood's militias, from escalating their armed movements, in Taiz and Shabwa aim to impose their control on the two governorates, and to use "Al-Hujariyah" as an alternative starting point to threaten the southern regions, and to enhance the influence of the Turkish Qatari project in the Yemeni scene.

Observers link the Brotherhood escalation to the organization’s efforts to thwart the efforts made by the Saudi-led Arab coalition to correct the path of “legitimacy”, to reform its institutions, and seek to form a new government based on the Riyadh agreement signed between the government and the Southern Transitional Council in November 2019.

The Brotherhood fears the success of the Riyadh-sponsored consultations between the government of interim President Abd Rabbo Mansour Hadi and the Southern Transitional Council in imposing a new equation that would end the influence of the pro-Qatar and Turkey forces in the “legitimacy” pyramid and direct the energies of the new government towards confronting the Houthi militias.

On the other hand, Brotherhood leaders in force in legitimacy are working to impede the implementation of the agreement, in parallel with the group preparing new alternatives to impose a fait accompli policy in southern Yemen, through military force, while surrendering the liberated areas in the north of the country to the Houthi militia.

Some reports say that the Brotherhood leadership has taken a decision to complete control of Taiz and the deployment in the “Hujariyah” area, which overlooks the Bab al-Mandab area, which is confirmed by armed clashes following the pursuit of Hamoud al-Mikhlafi's militias to attack military sites of the 35 armored brigade in Al-Turbah.

The military deployment of the Brotherhood's militia in southern Taiz aims to approach the governorates of Lahj and Aden and the western coast and open fronts to target the southern resistance and joint resistance while the Houthis still control large parts of the city of Taiz, the center of the governorate, in light of an undeclared truce between the Brotherhood and the Houthis.

Another gateway to storm Aden

It is noted that Qatar's arms, in "legitimacy", have resumed plan B in Taiz, following the military defeat they suffered, by the southern forces in Shuqra town, Abyan Governorate, in the south of the country, and their failure without achieving any military penetration on the ground that paves the way for the invasion of Aden.

The Brotherhood, with the support of Qatar, is seeking to invade the Al-Hujariyah region southwest of Taiz, in preparation for targeting the governorates of Lahj and Aden, during the coming period, as it continues to mobilize its members militarily and ideologically towards the forces of the joint forces.

The Qatari-Brotherhood moves to transform Taiz to an advanced position in targeting the anti-Houthi forces, as well as targeting the south, have become public, by standing behind the assassination of Colonel Adnan Al Hammadi, the commander of the 35th Armored Brigade, who is described as the only military leader who was opposed to the organization's policies and countered its project in Taiz, while they later turned to try to dismantle the brigade's forces and control its theater of operations.

The military actions of the Brotherhood's militia in the Al-Hujariyah region is obviously related to be the Qatar-Turkey axis calculations, driven by a desire to find a foothold in Yemen, and it also comes within the armed push towards the south, through the portal of Shabwa and Abyan.

From an early age, Qatar financed the formation of pro-Brotherhood militias in Taiz, and the setting up of Brotherhood camps, to play the role of spearhead in the Qatar and Turkey project.

Brotherhood leader Hamoud Al-Mikhlafi, has created a new camp for what has become known as the popular crowd in the Bani Shaybah area in Al-Hujariyah, south of Taiz, which is supervised by the Brotherhood leader Abdulaziz Al-Shaybani, in addition to another camp in the Ma’afir Directorate, while the camp “Yafres” still receives dozens of the new recruits that are being mobilized by "Brotherhood" departments in the different districts of Taiz.

The recruits underwent military and ideological courses hostile to the Arab coalition countries, while Doha provided the salaries of the conscripts and provided the needs of the camps, until the procedures for establishing the new military brigades were completed, and pressure to be established through the Ministry of Defense.

The Islamic Islah Party used its influence in the legitimacy authority to displace all political and military leaders in Taiz Governorate and replace them with ones loyal to them.

Expectations indicate that the coming period may witness a major escalation by the Brotherhood in Taiz, in terms of playing a role in trying to block Aden in the north by the camps that were created in the southern countryside of Taiz with funding from the State of Qatar.
